131. Trump mostly trumps
In my view US President Donald Trump is often correct in his opinions especially when he makes all those outrageous comments.
Recently in an interview he criticised some of the policies of European Union and in the same breath said that Europe is 'decaying' group of nations led by 'weak' people.
Anyone who has been a regular visitor to some of the prominent EU cities will agree with Trump’s observation.
The ultra-liberal policy of some European countries may look very good, forthright and generous but it has been, in fact, gradually destroying the serene and peaceful city life that visitors are so fond of and keep visiting year after year.
The Paris is no more the Paris it was ten years back. The moment you are out of your apartment or the hotel lobby you have to concentrate all your attention towards safety of your pocket, mobile and handbags. Forget about enjoying the lovely landscape.
Pickpocketing is so much rampant that the arrival and departure of train announcement and the cautionary announcements have become almost synonymous.
So, if Trump takes aim at European migration, he is right.
He said about the European leaders that they are being politically correct and they don’t know what to do and that makes them weak.
Unlike those times – roughly eight decades back - migration now mostly makes a nation weak. Which is again a new phenomenon due to the far-right views of the younger generation.
The situation in Europe has already reached on the brink just because people coming in have a totally different ideology.
I endorse Trump when he says that he hates what’s happened to London, and what’s happened to Paris. About London it may be justified on the account of its commonwealth policy and being a coloniser but for Paris we have no excuse.
The Paris that was the hotbed for the philosophers and writers and painters of the world has now turned into a chaotic city. Like London the streets of Paris and Metros are not safe to travel.
Illegal migrants have been turning the city not the city Paris was known for – the safe parks, the silence on the side of the lovely Seine River front and those sleepy lanes inside the twenty arrondissements.
The European leaders must take a note what Trump has said in the interview because Trump mostly trumps.
